Our GOAT and MVP! Would walk into an ATG team across any format!

Best pacer in the world and a cheat code. Shows how he has been carrying the team for a decade and how unlucky he's not to win more tournies due to lack of support from batters for nearly a decade. The moment batters supported him he has been winning us trophies.

24 yes.

26 not so much tbh.

Game was dead when he came at the end and Axar in my opinion took the more important wickets.

He basically got his 24 final MoM in this game for the same reason he did not get it in 24 - They did not want same MoM and MoT.

He took the wicket of rachin very first ball of his spell, setting NZ back in power play. Then his second over set them further back. These two economical overs (9 for 1 in 2 overs) in the powerplay completely killed NZ chances

Claiming 2 overs for 9 in power play while chasing 250+, had no impact on the game is weird. Some of axar wickets were direct result of his spell where batsmen had to hit every ball on the other end.

In t20s such overs are often more effective than wicket taking overs.

Not saying no impact. Saying less impact.

Axar took out the big guns.

During semis i was calculating RRR for England by taking 2 overs (Bhumrah) for 15 runs and hence was very confident quite early in the match that England cant chase.

I have not seen another bowler like him since late eighties early nineties..

I remember that there were people here, who genuinely were calling bumrah washed in the previous home series we had when it was obvious he was bowling within himself to limit injuries.

A couple even wanted him dropped.

Meanwhile he was not only the highest wicket taker, but bowled with an economy of 6.25, in a tournament where 250+ is being breached routinely.

He is way ahead of his peers.

Big guns were forced to hit out at every ball of axar because of bumrah's overs. Allen was the only wicket pre bumrah and he was completely out of touch

???

He was most dangerous batsman and killed off SA in the semi.

He was the only one who could have done anything.
