He wasn't a great commentator, but I wouldn't rule out racism/colorism/preferential treatment within BCCI

If it was really about colour, he wouldn't even find a place in the commentary panel in the first place.

 

At this level it's all about being in the good books of BCCI which he failed by being a Lackey of Srinivasan.

 

Tomorrow if there is a change in the government some of the current commentators also will be met with the same fate.

 

LSRK might have been discriminated during his playing days but under the current circumstances he should stop using the colour card for his own selfish motives.

Yeah I am not denying there is no color discrimination in India but in this case it was purely due to LSRK being in collusion with a different group not in favour of the current government.

 

I am not saying one group is good and the other is bad. This is how political affiliations and power dynamics work. It's less about your commentary skills and more about politics.

There might be a discrimination against South Indian accents in the commentary box. Laxman Sivaramakrishnan, Laxman, Srikanth, etc. But nothing to do with skin color.
