goose Posted November 26, 2015 Author Posted November 26, 2015 We lost Papa last Friday. In the end it was something else that got him...perhaps he was spared a more painful end. I miss him terribly.

Cricketics Posted November 30, 2015 Posted November 30, 2015 Very sorry to hear that Goose. Extremely sad indeed. I hope your family get enough strength to go through this phase as losing a close family member is the toughest to deal with. I know that it is hard to find any positive in this situation but I am sure your family will get some satisfaction that he did not have to go through the pain.Take Care
goose Posted November 30, 2015 Author Posted November 30, 2015 Thanks all for the thoughts and wishes. The funeral is tomorrow and i am due to speak. I will so miss waking up with Papa in the early hours for a test match down under. Speaking of cricket..Papa reminded me of Sehwag. He too had this amazing ability to blank out all negativity and enjoy the moment no matter how dire the situation. He spoke his mind always but it was impossible to take offence because he had a heart of gold. His strength was his positivity and eternal optimism. His passion was music...especially 60s hit by Rafi and Mukesh.
flamy Posted December 1, 2015 Posted December 1, 2015 My deepest condolences, goose. May his soul rest in peace. Love and Peace to you and yours.

asterix Posted December 2, 2015 Posted December 2, 2015 Goose mate, sorry to hear your personal loss. May his soul rest in peace. Time is a great healer. But some losses are felt always. I lost my father 17 years ago but I still miss him...
