Cricketics Posted October 27, 2015 Posted October 27, 2015 Many might be calling to drop him, but I feel that this guy has worked the hardest among any bowlers in India. I have always been his fan with the way he has swung the ball, but now with his increased pace, I believe he deserves to be given more chances and we need to persist with him I know he has been expensive in this series, but that is also due to his increased pace.It is not that he has just gained minimal pace, he has gained a lot of pace all of a sudden, which shows the kind of hard work he has put in. He is currently finding it hard to control the seem with that new found pace. It takes time to mix both pace and swing which Bhuvi was very used to before with his medium pace. I think, the more he bowl at such pace, the more he will realize his bowling. That similar swing which he used to have with his current pace, can be a really lethal weapon.I must say that I really would like to see him play ahead of other bowlers in near future. I hope he is not dropped or replaced. I believe he still a quality bowler who needs to be given some time. What do you guys reckon? Ironhide, sscomp32 and beetle 3

Team can take 1 intelligent trundler and Bhuvi is that one.One bad game and I won't write him off.But he has to work on his wicket taking skills in the first 10 overs.At this rate, he will eventually get dropped. He needs to deliver by then.(Drop Mohit Mottai Sharma now, and just one more 'final' rope for Bhuvi)Among ALL trundlers in India, he is a "better of the trundlers" (trundler he is, even now).And he can bat decently (better bat than Mayanti's bunny), has the technique though his batting form is poor currently. I don't agree that he has gained a lot of pace. His average is around 134 to 135 with odd balls touching 140. That is not a huge increment. To get this meagre increment in speed, he has lost his most potent weapon and that is swing. His death bowling is abysmal anyways.

Anyone remember his debut series against Pak, those games were played in December-Jan and all three pitches were helping pacers. Conditions were conducive for swing, especially, in Delhi and Kolkata and in Chennai, for the first time, we got a wet green pitch and then that series against Australia next year in October, he was not bowling quick in that series neither was getting any swing because conditions were not conducive for swing. sscomp32 and CG 2

IF he cnt swing the new ball n doesnt take wkts upfront , wats the use of himn its not one bad seriesSA, Nz, aus tour of india , He hasnt been taking wkts n leaking runs Bhuvi- 55 ODi- 60 wktsUmesh 52 ODi- 72 WktsShami47 odi- 87 wkts HE hasnt been taking wkts at all

CG Posted October 27, 2015 Posted October 27, 2015 I am afraid unless bhuvi develops in to allrounder his career will be short.At this level he does not have enough capability to be a third seamer except in eng,nz.He has to work on his batting .Bowling he can be used when conditions permit. Silva 1
