Gavaskar is a regionalist Person

I don't think we deserved to be in finals thanks to just one man(kohli). Rahane for ex., 40 off 35, on a pitch of 200 runs. He is simply not a T20 player. There's  regionalism from some guys like Gavasker (from Mumbai) as well , always cheerleading for Mumbai players like Rahane, projecting them as bigger players than they are

+1, remember at one point saying this is pukka mumbai, in mumbai, with two mumbai boys playing (Rohit and Rahane playing), and singing praises for Rahane's singles. he probably didn't mean it, but came across poor.

but having said that a first choice Mumbai XI would can probably beat India.

Probably true but we cannot be 100% sure about what you said. But there are one hundred better T20 batsmen than Rahane right now in the domestic circuit.

Hardly the case anymore, Texy. There used to be a time when Mumbai (Bombay then) XI was India XI. Those days are long gone.

Apart from Rohit Sharma, who else is form Mumbai?

Is this news now :cantstop:.

Honestly though ,gavaskar has gone senile nowadays and his commentary has been stale, same old.he's so out of touch with the t20 game lol and not to forget his obsession with milestones I.e 50s and 100s

Nowt wrong with a bit of regional pride. Mumbai as record Ranji champions are the Indian Yorkshire and if you come from the home of cricket in your country why not be proud? Just ask our Geoff!

I take it you're from Mumbai?! We understand the jealousy the rest of our country feel over our cricketing success. And we don't care

That just emphasises the enormity of India as a country. You wouldn't find many Yorkshire fans five hours north of Yorkshire as you'd be somewhere in Scotland! Congrats on regaining the Ranji trophy recently anyway and best of luck to the Indians franchise in IPL.

but does yorkshire officials show nepotistic tendencies towards yorkshire players when it comes to England cap ? i guess they dont, there lies the difference. Mumbai has a lobby, a powerful one.
