Dhoni. The ultimate team player indeed. Held no grudge against the guy who he was kicked out for. Calmly took singles and let a young player like Smith get all the accolades and the winning runs.

How about inability to hit leading to fearing of losing his spot which made him give the strike to right now one of the best batsmen in the world and then all he had to do was to close his eyes and prayed for the best?

 

This is the same Dhoni who has refused to give strike to other batsmen to finish of games we are talking about.

He tried everything last night to screw up pune , dropped a catch, played two consecutive dot balls of bumrah when they needed some one to hit big did tuk tuk but thankfully its smith who stood up till the victory
