Unlucky kaun??

If Bhuvi doesn't play the next match then......

:wall:

If Vijay is fit ,then sit out Pujara.

Vijay

Dhawan

KLRahul

Virat

Ajinkya

Saha

Ashwin

Shami

Bhuvi

Ishant/Umesh

Jadeja/Mishra

Unlucky is Ishant. He is always unlucky not to pick up wickets :giggle:

I'd replace Mishra with Jadeja. Vijay gets back and Pujara might have to miss out.
Would go with the same fast bowlers as they did decently in the first test. Would have loved to have Aaron and may be someone like Rajpoot in the squad to try them out.

If it comes down to choosing between Ishant and Umesh, I'd prefer Ishant. If Umesh is playing, he needs to be given the new ball. One thing I've observed lately is that he drops his pace when he's attacked or is not among the wickets when in fact it should be the other way around. Quite disappointed with his bowling in the last match.

Rajpoot can be groomed /  tried as a replacement for Ishant.  He is a tall bowler too and gets bounce, similar pace to Ishant and can swing the ball.  In FC he averages 25, has a SR of 48 and has decent FC experience.  McGrath , the MRF head-coach, considers him the best international prospect from the foundation among Indians.

Pujara is playinjg a crucial role in protecting the middle order from new ball. So no change in batting order unless vijay is fit. In that case vijay can replace dhawan.

Bowling wise bhuvi in place of ishant and jaddu in place of mishra.

shradul can be tried after we win the series.

I'm okay with any combination to be honest. Dropping players like Ishant, Umesh, Mishra, Pujara etc. will give them a bit of a break to think/improve their games. Bhuvi, Jaddu, Shardul and even Rohit will benefit from having a game.

Vijay

Dhawan

Rahul

* Kohli

Rahana

+ Saha

Ashwin

Jadeja

Bhuvi

Shami

Umesh / Shardul

Unless Ishant has a spectacular series he should be dropped after this series because his thinking n bowling is very poor also Umesh needs to improve, we need to look at Rajpoot, Aniket, Warrier, Nathu, Suyal, Aaron as these two have been bowling like rookies and cannot bowl per, wkt, conditions, game, Instant has fitness ,pace and is a hard worker but is simply not good enough after all these years n still not learning, Shami has shown the right attitude, leadership qualities, thought process n we need bowlers like him, we cannot make a donkey into a horse so if a player doesn't learn in one , two or three season he should be let go, being a work horse is not god enough

kinda true though....Infact he didn't end up with too many wickets even during that game where he bowled that golden spell to Ponting :((

its like the opposite of ROHIT who looks like a million bucks and then gets that unplayable delivery or bad desicion

MV is back

Now choice is Pujara/Rahul Because Captain aggressive wont play 4 Bowlers.

Choice is actually between Pujara and Dhawan. Rahul is an automatic pick after his last performance.

Exactly, Rahul shouldnt be sitting on bench anymore in any format. The guy can be potentially the 2nd best batsman for India in all formats after Kohli.
