Mr 264 probably cramped up a bit from all the defensive shots he played for 5(24).  He's annoying and needs to improve his strike rotation but is in the top 3 ODI openers in the world and an automatic starter if fit.

Wow dhoni fans are the most insecure bunch like ever

the other day one fan was bringing up a rohit's dismissal from 6 month back to prove santner as this reincarnation of Shane warns to justify dhoni not able to get the ball out of the square against him in the middle overs....just to hold your breath to rile me up to derail the harsh dhoni criticism I was unleashing...really :hysterical:

and another fan boy brought up a slow start by Rohit against the new ball in 1 game to justify dhoni's consecutive match losing performances...can't get more surreal than that.

yeah we all have our favorite players or players we back with the hope that India wins or they will  develop into match winners for the country but dhoni fans are turning out to be the worst.

Maybe this comes with the fact that dhoni comes with too much baggage compared to say someone like Sachin.

ok since the general consensus here is I am a Rohit Sharma fan...I will scream and say ROHIT PERFORMED POORLY in the first 2 Odis

can they admit dhoni lost 2nd game in the last couple of months with his fattu batting.

They call fans of other players insecure and act all rational and with a sense of self-entitlement which pisses me off.

yeah you all know who you are...all I can say is ....you are not fooling anyone.

Stop diverting topic and admit Dhoni is the one holding this team back...while I respect dhoni for what he has achieved in his career...he is long past it...time to stick a fork in it.

He should only play for Mumbai Indians in IPL. International cricket is too much for him. Don't think he deserves a place on merit in Mumbai Ranji team too.

Dhawan-Rahul should open for us in LOIs. Rohit, if at all has to play need to bat at no.4. New ball is too much for him to handle. He just had couple of good years thats all...honeymoon over now.

Are you guys for real ?? The guy has been tremendous for us for the consecutive four years. You don't like him ? Yes I get it. But discrediting him of his achievements is not cool. I wouldn't swap him for any other opener in the world at the moment. Get a grip people.

That comparison with MS Dhoni is bit moot because MS is in his last leg of his career. His reflexes have died down and not much cricket left in him. In his peak he has won many many games for India, especially chasing. His lack of runs is more due to his age rather than ability. Rohit Sharma on the other hand is in his 20s and in peak of his career. But I have never seen he did anything meaningful with the bat when the chips are high while chasing. All those big hundreds he scored (and I give him credit for those) is when there is no pressure, no lateral movement on the pitch and whilst batting first. Unlike MS, his poor performance is more due to ability not form. Rohit Sharma is a limited batsman and hence his career avg is 10 runs less than MS Dhoni. Less being said about test cricket the better. With all the criticism Dhawan gets, he is a better pressure batsman than Rohit.

MS at that age is still fit than Rohit , whereas Rohit has a paunch now and within in few yrs he' ll realize when his reflexes would go down. Dhoni is still far fitter and better runner than rohit forget comparing when Rohit would be 35 with reflexes and fitness all gone.

Again...looks like You missed the whole point.....what has Rohit Sharma got to do in a topic about MSD messing up a chase?

one good thing about rohit sharma is his fitness... he doesnt have muscles like lokesh and virat but he is very lean...

except for a smattering of baby fat at the tummy and triple chin.
