maniac Posted November 1, 2016 Posted November 1, 2016 (edited) Following several days of murmurs that the prime time star of Indian English TV news could be looking at a change, TNM has now learnt that Arnab Goswami has resigned from Times Now. He was the Editor-in-Chief and President, News, of Times Now and ET Now. TNM has learnt that he announced his decision at an editorial meeting. He told his team that he will remain in television. Multiple sources in Times Now have confirmed this to TNM. Arnab told the editorial team that he believes in the media, and that he will continue in television. According to a source in Times Now, a few editors and reporters were called in specifically for the meeting in which he announced that he was qutting. The meeting was called at 4:30pm and went on till about 5:30pm. I was in USA recently and all CNN was doing was spreading negativity towards Trump and Fox news towards Hillary. They literally are the political Stephani. There is a anchor in Fox news Hannity who never allows anyone to speak, an American version of Arnab Goswami. Less said about Indian media the better. Yes, BBC is the most professional, although they are hardly unbiased. The US has PBS and NPR if someone wants to see professional demeanor among journalists. Arnab based his show on shows like O'Riely factor and the Raechal Maddow show, so his show was always going to be obnoxious. I would disagree that Arnab is pro-BJP, Arnab is pro his own opinions. He regularly attacks the BJP on issues he doesn't agree with.

For example here is a documentary by BBC on Putin. Listen the background music used everytime Putin's enters the screen or tone in which the Putins name is used as If he is a Russian Mafia. It will remind you the sensationalism we see on Indian media when reporting about Pakistan. BBC is as bad as RT, AlJazeera,Press TV, Its just that they used sophisticated English in British Accent. On domestic front, so called democracy/equality preachers and leftist journalist are always licking Monarchy. Same goes for India Pakistan reporting. They have mastered the art of looking neutral at the same time pushing the agenda as NOT everyone understand between the lines. diga 1

And there have been instances when some of the looneys he invited: Raj Thakeray, Asad Owaisi and Subramanian Swamy for eg, out-voiced, out smarted and out spoke him. Not the hallmark of journalistic courage if your bettered in your own rotten game. Not to mention that having a pre determined mindset, and not letting others make their point is hardly the epitome of democracy or journalism. Screaming at 70+ yr olds who have a notable contribution to Indian scoiety in a patronizingly condescending tone is outright disgusting. There are few other very smart guys too Like Laloo ji, Amit Shah Smriti Irani, Menakshi Lekhi, Mahua Mitra, Sitaram yechury and many more. I doubt one on one any reporter in Indian tv channel can ever win a debate against these guys. So what channels do is generally invite atleast 3 more to deal with them. Cricketics Posted November 25, 2016 Posted November 25, 2016 I haven't watvhed proper Indian mews channel in last 5 years in US. Recently watched free preview of NDTv and AajTak and Times Now. They all sucked so much. News channels in India must be really boring and absolute crap? Any good Indian news channel? After everyone one hour you would end up seeing Aapke taare or some horoscope drama. I try to avoid watching news channels because of all the negativity shown all the time but sometimes honestly I love watching the American news channels when I need to really kill time.Even though both Fox and CNN are supporting their parties, the news content put out to the public is more clear and worth watching or following other than few shows like Hannity etc on Fox or this crass lady Rachel maddow on MSNBC.
