sandeep Posted November 21, 2016 Posted November 21, 2016 Hameed is a baby Pujara. Likes to bat time. Comes from the same state too yeah? Promising start, but he has a ways to go. tweaker 1
maniac Posted November 21, 2016 Posted November 21, 2016 Not impressed...doesn't have the game for the next level. something missing here.
Iconoclast Posted November 22, 2016 Posted November 22, 2016 Hameed lasted 144 balls before getting an unplayable delivery Duckett + Moin + Stokes + Bairstrow + Ansari + Rashid + Broad + Jimmy = 145 balls faced That's saying something. Vilander and tweaker 2

Were you impressed by Cook when he played his first test series? Did you feel 'something missing here' then too? What do you think of Cook as a test batsman now? Do you think he made it to the 'next level'?

Can someone pls post his first class strike-rate? I wouldn't be surprised, if he will become world class batsmen.....

Yes....envisioned big things for him but obviously I can't prove that...got lost in the archives Ah I get it now you are implying that just because Cook is not a slam bang player I did not rate him....In my best Donald Trump Voice rrrrrrooooooong Cook is a backfoot player so naturally good against pace and bounce and has perfect footwork and balance so good against Spin too...Has a good defense and looks assured....has the ability to play late and good hand-eye coordination like most good players. This kid is lacking in lot of such qualities. You have a great hand eye coordination and ability to play late that is half the battle won-DOn't see it here....Time to go back to the counties and improve for this kid.

This is standard in Cook's English side. Look at Duckett. Selectors said he was test match player. But now they say NO, he is odi player. Olive branch will be given to him. England limited over team only got better since Cook was removed off odi captaincy Hameed will be chopped on very first opportunity. He as allready given it. Unless Cook retires, he has no future tweaker 1

Eng selectors should look at this post.

Did you ever play alongside him etc? Asking, because such players at such age easily would have played club cricket not too long ago and many current club cricketers must be excited to see their fellow club cricketer making it to the national England team.
