Smith is "RATTLED"

High time Kohli ,and company takes advantage of rattled Smith ,and make sure he remain rattled throughout 3rd test match .

Dont know about Smith, but India looks rattled in this series. Playing against a really ordinary side, they really look out of their depths in home conditions. Probably this victory is turning point. 

 

But this series, so far, has already been a win for Aussies. If I was an aussie supporter, there is a lot to like about this perfomance on these pitches.

As an aussie i expected a whitewash, a dour performance and overall decimation and underperforming in general.

 

In truth the aussies have battled hard against a superior side away from home. Arguably performed much better with more conviction.

 

"Smith is rattled" is an ignorant statement unless he and the team stop playing in the same manner. Being beaten in those circumstances hardly means much.

 

If you want to see what rattled looks like. Maybe its actually kohli more so than smith.

'Ordinary' ? with that bowling attack and with Smith, Renshaw and Warner?

Aussies seem an ordinary side coz we did not know of newbies who well might turn out to be very good Renshaw n Handscombe, Smith was expected to do well n Warner underwhelmed, but Marsh was a bad choice especially with the bowling as we now know he was carrying n injury, Lyon did very well, this side will get better from now on as they have Pattinson, Cummings, when fit but will get better from now on

Aus were number 2 before this test series started. Its not as if they were languishing at the bottom.

 

Lyon and our inability to play him is the key issue

This Aussie team is shaping into an excellent team. Wait for 2 years, they will do very well in UAE, Lanka, Eng etc. Renshaw, Handscombe etc will develop into very good players. Aussies aren't like other teams, they never get rattled. We will have to be very sharp in the next 2 matches.

But this Aussie team is stronger especially after the revamp following their debacle against RSA last year.

What revamp ? For four of them, it is their second series. For some of them first India test series. They have done brilliantly. India looks shoddy even on rank turners. One partnership saved India or it was 2-0.

 

Anyhow, I love how Aussies have fought in this series.

Every team looks shoddy on rank turners. Even our greatest of the batsmen. Thing is we barely had such pitches in 2000s or most part of 90s. IN 2000s, I remember very few such pitches that ICC had to issue warning. One was Mumbai 2004 and  you know how our batsmen fared in that, gave a 6-fer to Clark.

Every team looks shoddy on rank turners. Even our greatest of the batsmen. Thing is we barely had such pitches in 2000s or most part of 90s. Mumbai was far worse than anything we have seen in this series .

 

And we have plenty of these wickets in 90s like these under Azhar.

We should go for  standard Indian test pitches in the next 2 tests and our test team will have a much better chance of winning dominantly.

 

Raging turners are bridging the gap between our spinners and theirs and making bowlers like O'Keefe look like Jadeja and actually handing advantage to Australia.

Every series is different. Form is different. Conditions are different. Just because Australia lost 4-0 4 years back doesn't mean, it will happen again too. There is no certainty about anything in this world. We were supposed to beat England too in 2012 after beating NZ easily but lost.

No. Mumbai was not worse than what we saw in Pune. Both pitches with red soil that have similar nature. 

 

regarding 90s, it is just a myth. We did not have plenty of such pitches in 90s. Otherwise, Kumble would have been ahead of Warne and Murli in wicket tally.

Rattled seems like an appropriate word. Him trying to deflect blame and throwing his teammates Handscomb and Marsh under the bus are pretty strong signs that suggest he may be rattled. Got him on the back food, time for the screeching yorker.

Team India, getting better and better with the mind games.  I love the Ash quote - lot of respect for Smithy, but he pulled off a junior cricket move - very "surprising".  Excellent choice of words.

Whenever he walks in to bat, Ash [Ashwin] is always happy, so I always keep reminding him that Ash is the one who picks [up his wicket]."

After dismissing Mitchell Starc, Ashwin sent him off by repeatedly pointing to his own forehead - mimicking the gesture Starc had made after Abhinav Mukund had top-edged him for six in India's second innings.

"I saw yesterday, Abhi [Mukund] pulled Mitchell Starc for a six, he top-edged it for six," Ashwin said. "But yes, I don't think he was in any sort of hurry when he pulled that ball, and Mitchell Starc suggested that he would hit him on the helmet. I don't know, people generally have the habit of saying I'll hit you back on the helmet at Gabba.

"It doesn't matter, this is Bangalore, so I thought I must tell him that he got hit off me, in the first innings, on the helmet."

Pujara also revealed that he had batted with a sore neck while scoring 92 in India's second innings.

"It was my neck which was troubling me a lot," Pujara said. "To be honest, it was a serious issue when I went in to bat in the second innings. I would like to thank Patrick Farhart, our physio, who made it possible for me to bat, and bat at No. 3, because there was one stage where I felt I might not be able to bat No. 3 because my neck was really sore. But he worked on it and ultimately I achieved the goal for the team."

No Mumbai was much worse as a test wicket.The rain made it even worse in first innings.

 

 

The match barely last 2 full days.
