velu
Quote The recently concluded limited-overs cricket series against Sri Lanka helped Mahendra Singh Dhoni highlight his importance to the Indian side in the run up the 2019 World Cup. The former India captain produced several moments for his fans to cherish in years to come. From playing to match-winning knocks to taking a nap on the field, Dhoni grabbed most headlines during the ODI and T20 series. The wicketkeeper-batsman also achieved three significant milestones during the five-match ODI series. Mahi became the first wicketkeeper to effect 100 stumping, played in his 300th 50-over match and set the record for most unbeaten ODI knocks. In India's final outing on the tour, the one-off T20 International on Wednesday, the 36-year-old conjured up another magical moment that left cricket fans awestruck. Dhoni pulled off a trademark quick stumping to dismiss Angelo Mathews (7) off Yuzvendra Chahal in the seventh over. Dhoni's devastating quickness meant the right-hander failed to make it back into the crease despite his best effort. Indian cricket fans were more than happy using the words 'lightning quick' to describe yet another Dhoni stumping. https://sports.ndtv.com/sri-lanka-vs-india-2017/india-vs-sri-lanka-ms-dhoni-special-described-as-mother-of-all-stumpings-by-fans-1747561 Link to comment
renjith
Many keepers collect the ball 1 or 2 feet behind the stumps. Dhoni most of the times collect it in line with the stumps. That seems to help him do stumping 1 or 2 seconds quicker than other keepers. Edited September 8, 2017 by renjith velu 1 Link to comment

Gollum
What's so great about that stumping? Mother of all stumpings is by Karthik off Bhajji's bowling to get rid off Vaughan in the 3rd ODI of the 2004 3 match ODI series in UK. This fatso would have given 4 byes in a similar situation. Rasgulla, AuxiliA and Shunya 3 Link to comment

Dhoni would not even have collected it. You need to watch it in real time. Looks slow only in slow motion. Edited September 9, 2017 by rkt.india sscomp32, MCcricket and Shunya 1 2 Link to comment

Lol Don't know if it's the camera quality at that time that is making it look slow but from the way it looks Dhoni would have done 2 stumpings in the same time taken by F.engineer. velu and Rasgulla 1 1 Link to comment
