tweaker
Karn Sharma is in prolific form in this season. Does he deserves to be selected in the squad against New Zealand Link to comment
Forever Indian
The trouble is Kohli is already wary of selecting youngsters. And this guy was selected in one test replacing Ashwin and he bombed big time there, so it is going to a lot more difficult for a comeback with Kohli at realm. But I agree he deserves a second chance especially being a leggie. Link to comment
vvvslaxman
Yes. I am not sure what he did with action. Suddenly he is picking up boat load of wickets. HE even opens the bowling. Link to comment
puneet28
Kohli likes fit guys. I don't think Karn Sharma falls into that category from Kohli's prospective. mancalledsting 1 Link to comment
ShebbySB
Karn has already played for India.Right now he's in pretty good form though it's against NZ who are weak against spin specially wrist spin. Karn has also done well in this year's Duleep Trophy.I know Chahal is doing well but Mishra is out of contention and Rahul Chahar is a rookie so Karn is the only other legspinner in the setup. So can he keep Chahal on his toes and take his place in near future? The advantage Karn has got over Chahal is his batting ability while Chahal can't hold the wood to save his life Edited October 12, 2017 by ShebbySB Link to comment

rkt.india
he was unfairly discarded after just one test Link to comment

ShebbySB
If Chahal is a better bowler then u pick Chahal if both are on par then u pick Karn over Chahal as Karn can bat. I look for multidimensional players personally. So I prefer Karn over Chahal. Link to comment

But Karn is a decent batter. On a different issue, Karn's ability to spin the ball has improved in the last 14 months. Karn should be in test matches as he lacks the fitness to be in one day side....so better comparison should be with K. Yadav...not with Y. Chahal.. Ankit_sharma03
He has to wait till Yuzi is there, unless he gets injured or get smashed or given rest and this could be a long wait. He has to use this time to keep improving, keep chipping away with wkts, keep scoring crucial runs. Who knws a bit more talent with the bat might tilt favour in his side in future if it comes to Yuzi vs karn for one spot and their bowling proves out to be equal Link to comment
renjith
Chahal and karn can be rotated and that will create a good competition. Link to comment
Vk1
Karn Sharma = chahal > kuldeep in my view... coz he's lot more experienced than other two. Kuldeep will develop as time goes. Karns batting is a bonus. He can hit sixes too I think. 28 sixes in 50 innings in list A. So idea nbr 7 Link to comment
