Ideally, Umesh should have played this match as he is a solid test bowler on flat tracks. Next match won't be on a flat track. SA have planned it smartly. puneet28
Looks more of a mental problem than fitness. I don’t see any intent in his bowling.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Link to comment

Suhaan
Shami should be sent home.Navdeep Saini should be sent as replacement fear selectors might opt for great Trundnatkat.. Link to comment
Samcric
A fit Shami would have made such a difference. Imagine Shami at his peak when South Africa were 12/3. This is not the Shami we know, he is definitely playing with an injury. express bowling 1 Link to comment
sensible-indian
What a cruel joke played on Indian fans. Bowled 145 on indian tracks getting the ball to talk, only to trundle in SA. Why did Kohli select him if he was this unfit? Damn. Edited January 13, 2018 by sensible-indian Gollum 1 Link to comment
Texan
Shami seems to be one of those bowlers who does well at home, but is not good outside. In sub-continent, Shami's bowling average is 23. Outside SC, his bowling average swells to over 37. Clear case of ability to bowl only in home conditions. There have been many Indian pacers who are only good in SC before, so not surprising. If he is unfit, why is he playing? There is no record of him being unfit before this match or during this innings. What injury does he have? When he bowls badly why do you assume he is unfit or "nowhere as good"? Link to comment

When a 140 bowler bowls crap, he sprays. He doesn't start trundling out of the blue, then bowls a few overs with pace and then trundles. That alone is enough to tell us that he isn't 100%. Now Kohli has to answer why he picked him. Link to comment
