Maybe that is true. But videos don't portray what the player's motive is. It only shows what happened. He had long finger nails like a lady and that increased the suspicion. In the other case, Dravid accepted the match fine without making a fuss. He can also claim that he was not making a deliberate alteration to the ball aka tampering. But he chose the high road and didnt complain and took it on the chin. In Smith's case, he was doing it with deliberate intent or atleast showed poor leadership so that Warner and Sandcroft could take over. He paid his dues and let him return to cricket. He can also tell everyone that Warner started it like a child and get away with it. He didn't and accepted full responsibility. Unlike some little big man, he didn't whine and create a controversy. I am not amazed at this fake moral outrage here the guy served his time and is a player if there is a problem dont play him lol. I would say Smith did take resposibility and did not cry and ask his board to support him and help him out of the predicament.
