Rohit S. Ambani Posted May 2, 2017 Posted May 2, 2017 Keshav Prasad Maurya, Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister, flagged off five ambulances on Monday that will cater to cows. The 'Gauvansh Chikitsa Mobile Vans' service will see that all injured cows are rescued and given appropriate treatment at 'gaushalas' after they are taken there in the ambulances. Every ambulance will have a veterinarian doctor present along with an assistant. Also, a 'gauseva' toll-free number will also be put in place for locals to leave information about injured cows. When 3rd world countries with poor resources spend money and manpower in 'ambulance for cows' instead of improving our ambulance coverage for people, it directly effects the people, to their detriment. That is why it is despicable. Sidhoni, Book_Worm and Gollum 3

How about investing this money on schools and education so that people don't believe in backwards practices?

Saving cows for a 3rd world nation cannot be a legitimate goal when nearly half our patients die in ambulatory state due to ghastly roads and ambulance system. Gollum Posted May 3, 2017 Posted May 3, 2017 Every other day there is news of some random person in some random corner of India carrying his sick/dead relative to the hospital(will make you teary eyed , lots of such videos out there) because of no ambulance in his region. Point is in a country like India where over half our population suffer like hell, priority should be given to their well being. Once we have attained some sort of balanced inclusive development(will take many decades) where all people have accessible ambulances, then we can think of extending the facility to bovines. Utter stupidity this, but what better to expect in present day India. Ruling party has already decided that cows are more important than our women/poor/oppressed. Nothing against bovines here. We need more veterinary hospitals, veterinary doctors because we are terrible understaffed in that area at present. Also so many bovines have 30 kilos of plastic in their stomachs, how do we solve that? This cow ambulance service is an eyewash, another typical jumla by those in power. sandeep 1

For other animals like dogs animal right activists sterilize them but dairy industry cannot sterilize cows as they will not give milk Muloghonto 1

You need hundreds of thousands of crores for that. Its not going to be solved overnight and its a process which is happening and will take time in a country with a population over 1.3 billion. Just because you divert even small resources to other causes, doesnt mean the other problem will immediately be solved. Its the same thinking of people who think India shouldnt send satellites because of poverty and rather use that money for alleviating poverty. 50 million(or whatever it costs) will not even solve a fraction of the problems in India. I find it funny how helping animals which people like is considered something wrong in India. Whereas these pseudo liberals are the ones who dont want people to celebrate diwali as it will scare dogs.

Sending satellites and such, creates jobs for the people. however few people it benefits, it still benefits people. To set aside ambulatory service for an animal, when we have kids who die because they can't reach hospital in time, is simply putting religion before actual people and is deplorable. Just goes on to show that my prediction that Hinduvta is nothing more than hindu-mullahgiri and these guys are hijacking hinduism to turn it more like Islam is coming true day by day. sandeep 1

Saving animals is mullahgiri just because its connected to cows ? Stupid logic. Edited May 3, 2017 by NareshK asterix 1
