Did not get a lot of vhances this year but he was bound to play after all the confidence Sehwag showed. Sehwag's picks are exciting. He knows which player will work and get along well with him - like say Guptill, etc. Tewatia will turn out to be a good decent bowler from here on after playing under Sehwag. Sehwag has pretty good knowledge of spin bowling too.

Kings x1 Punjab has one of the worst bowling attacks in the IPL maybe 2nd after Gujarat Lions dont go by the odd performance like yesterday. having said that this tewatiya looks like a good T20 cricketer and will have a decent run much like Negi etc. not a earth shattering pick by any means

Ishant wasn't picked in auction, he was only picked later when Punjab was losing games and they wanted to try another bowler to see if things can work better, hence he was never their first choice. Remember most of the squad was picked before and only few players added this year by Sehwag. Guptill is a good pick, I would love to have him for Delhi actually. Also Punjab hasn't done bad at all. They are still in vhance for qualification, so means they have done something right. They have actually struggled with their overseas olayers not doing well like Maxwell has been okay and Miller has completed sucked this year.

Delhi attack was rated one of the best earlier with Rabada-Shami-Zak-Cummins-Morris etc. They started off well too and then slowly starting getting taken apart as Delhi consecutively gave 220ish plus scores. Its part of t20. Even best of the best struggle in this format. Punjab like we know isn't the best, so them struggling here is just another bowling attack struggling. They have actually done better than most. Its just that at times their batting has let them down then in some games their bowling.

They picked him later when others were struggling so they tried him as he was an Indian bowler who wasn't picked yet and wanted to see if he could do any better than the current lot. Not really their first choice.

Otherwise was not picked in auction. And as you can see, they don't rate him much higher too. Played him few games, wanted to see id he can deliver now after all these years, and then dropped because not good enough.
