Please God no.

 

Sehwag is more of a naturally gifted player and plays care free approach even with Kings XI.His Daredevil approach is great for batsmen but not for a coach.

 

Kumble has come across as far more professional and hard working as a coach.

 

Also he is too close to our current generation (Ishant :cough:) as he retired very recently.

 

Anyone who wants to Indian coach should be atleast 5 five years since retirement to have no bias .

But as he wa told by a top BCCI official to apply as Coach,he may be earmarked for the job.

Last time, Shastri was almost certain to take the coach position,but Ganguly backed Kumble & he got the job

BCCI officials don't decide .The committee of Sachin Ganguly and VVS decide .

I wouldn't be surprised if Guru Dravid promoted Kohli to the opening position and made Rhane our No. 3 as part of his "tactics". :phehe:

Ravi has multiple things on his plate. He is not the right choice either. Need to be someone different who is not associated with anyone else. Moreover what qualifications does any of these candidates have. 

Under 19 coach Rajpu(??) is more qualified than so many of these guys.

If you mean Lalchand Rajput, he is right now coach of Afghanistan. U-19 coach is dravid

Regarding pay...why don't they have a basic pay for the 3 grades but the match fees etc should be performance linked.

 

Pay more for wins and pay according to the runs scored and wkts taken.

Deduct for catches dropped :wall:

Jonty Rhodes as the fielding coach would be awesome.
