Another rain effected ICC CT in England on the cards again?

It can rain all it likes since most matches are day games while I'm at work anyway. Won't feel like I'm missing anything!

Complain about the weather all you want, but complaining about the size of the crowds when yesterday was a sell out and today was 90% sold out by the start of play for a neutral game is a bit ridiculous.

Not sure what year CT he is watching agreed they are almost full

Indeed. Don't understand the poster's boring cricket point either, especially after just two matches

Which is the best weather forecast site in England? Different sites have different forecasts for Sunday's Indo-Pak match. :wp21:

This is the problem with ODI cricket in England. Frequent rain interruptions and also the crowd doesnt seem to give a f about LOIs given their enthusiasm. For any match featuring an SC team, half or more of the stadium will be filled by Indians, Pakistanis, Bangladeshis.

England is best suited for test cricket.

The crowds were there.no issue in that.

But needed reserve days

I tend to use the main news sites like BBC and Sky. Still not 100% though.

Kiwis were robbed due to rain today...

Had the Kiwis not been robbed, it would have really been interesting in that group. Either of those 3 between NZ, AUS, ENG could have qualified. Lucky Aussies

Cricket in England is best for retired people. They can just watch some cricket, take a nap when it rains for a couple of hours, then watch some cricket again and finally after 5 days, not worry about winning or losing because game would end in a draw. Its like a soap opera for people who like "sport".

Its hightime the cash rich ECB invest in some retractable roof for their stadiums..

oh wait.. the stadiums are so small the roofs would cost them more than the UK GDP at this rate

Cold

Rains every day

Half empty stands

One sided games when not rain interrupted

Poor standard of cricket

Worst tournament since the WC in WI

If England really wanted to host, then should have canceled some of its test matches in its summer of cricket in July and hosted CT then. Everyone knows its silly to play games in May-June in UK, they haven't learned from the past clearly.

+1

it makes their posturing at the ICC table look more and more ridiculous. nobody gives a * about inglish and austrayan cricket.

funnily enough, austraya is getting knocked out of the tournament if they lose to ingerlund. assuming bangladesh loses to NZ as predicted. what a joke of a tournament.
