Considering how aggressive Rahane is in test cricket, even showing good 6 hitting ability in those matches, one would think he could give a fast start in ODIs if persisted with.

Rahane is a fluent scorer against pacers on faster tracks,  We have seen that in n test matches. 

 

Needs to improve his natural game while playing spinners in the middle overs.

 

He will never do well in the last 10 overs in ODIs... natural or unnatural game.

Needs to improve his conversion rate as well, already he is inconsistent and then he doesnt convert his 50s into 100s

It is happening due to his inability to score freely in the middle overs, especially to slower bowlers.

ODIs have become extended T20s now. Just the number of runs do not matter as much as runs + speed of scoring.
