express bowling Posted January 16, 2019 Posted January 16, 2019 The TM should tell Siraj to target the top of off stump and bowl ... till the 40th over. Use the bouncer or the short balls only as surprise weapons. Trying too many variations, during the first 40 overs, has been the bane of most young quicks who have debuted in the last 12 months. This is where some guidance is needed. Mosher 1
sarcastic Posted January 19, 2021 Posted January 19, 2021 I think Siraj answered his critiques very well with the perfomances. Many of you predicted that he is a better test match bowler than a LoI bowler. With age and maturity, now he is looking to become future spearhead for India's test bowling. maniac 1
cowboysfan Posted January 19, 2021 Posted January 19, 2021 it will be interesting how he will do in india in tests ,he wont be getting the bounce out of good length he did in australia but i would pick him if Bumrah is not ready/

sarcastic Posted April 22, 2021 Posted April 22, 2021 How far he has come since starting this thread 3-4 years ago... This is how youngsters develop. They take time to reach international class but you need to back them until they show that potential and give as many chances as you can. BacktoCricaddict, Ankit_sharma03, Mosher and 1 other 4
Straight Drive Posted April 22, 2021 Posted April 22, 2021 Saini wasn't able to get enough wickets last IPL. Good move by RCB management to drop him and pick Siraj. Atleast Siraj is picking lots of wickets. Probably the top wicket taker in RCB?

Jay Posted April 23, 2021 Posted April 23, 2021 Siraj is a beast. never ever write off any future Indian bowler Unless he is a trundler. BacktoCricaddict 1
sarcastic Posted January 6, 2022 Posted January 6, 2022 I understand he is tired/injured etc but the moment he came to bowl today, he looked like a run leaker and leak he did. Bowled India out of the match whatever slim chances India had at that time. Probably should have been brought back when the situation was still not that good for South Africa.

Just one bad match and you felt like bumping this, huh! ravishingravi and Clarke 2

Got frustrated by that 16 run over and that he could not bowl much of the match. He is a tremendous prospect but he cannot go unfit during a test match/series too often as that will create issues for the team composition. I think the same happened in the England tour too. Hope he gets the right physical conditioning and sorts these fitness issues.

Texan Posted January 6, 2022 Author Posted January 6, 2022 Just a bad match due to fitness issues, but he has come a long way since he started his career.
The Realist Posted January 6, 2022 Posted January 6, 2022 Hmm he's ok but has a limited skillset, poor fitness and is a liability when fielding. He's turning 28 soon. Will struggle to be anything more than an average bowler at international level.

Adamant Posted January 7, 2022 Posted January 7, 2022 He is very good but as I said he will never come anywhere near the likes of Bumrah, Rabada, Cummins. Shaheen will overtake him too.
