  1. 1. Is Hardik as valuable as Kapil Dev?

    • Yes, his contributions at least in limited overs cricket makes him invaluable
    • No, he has a LONG way to go to even elicit a comparison with Kapil Dev
    • Hardik Pandya is only hyped "bits and pieces" player. He can never be as valuable.

next Kapil

In ODIs, Kapil Dev was a bowler who gave occasional good performances with the bat. In his last 6-7 years, he did not even score a 50. In today's age, he would be :whip:

In fact, his last 50 was in 1988. Based on one 175, his fans act as if he was scoring 175 every series  ... Below since 1988:

1 50 in his last 94 innings

PS Ind batting in that period, among those who scored 500 or more runs:

This guy basically has 1 match losing innings in a hopeless situation, yet he's being hailed as some kind of Messiah by his paid trolls fans - shows the quality of cricket we're playing & of course low IQ fans who just go gaga over these Instalosers :cheer5:

Massive difference on the type of bowlers Kapil faced compared to now.

Not a single bowler from present West Indies team would even get into that team back then even as net bowlers

Does not matter as Kapil was the least performing batsmen in that period. Srikant, Prabhakar, etc. faced those bowlers too

Kapil has to be one of the better performers first to then talk about bowling and other stuff.

Talking about bowling, he mostly bowled with the red ball and in an era of no power plays. He could likely get smashed by today's batsmen too.

He admitted in a recent interview that he grew up all these years eating 'maggi noodles' 3 times a day.   Can't really fault him for being shockingly malnourished and being unable to score at a SR > 100 in every t20 game.

he should have also drunk lots of milk a la dhongi
