maniac
I bet there were a lot more anxious faces from both sides during the IPL retention announcement than the actual test series. Agar test series jeeta to aaj nahi to Kal log tanne bhool jaavenge....Agar IPL jeeta to duniya yaad rakhegi. Dean Elgar was one of the most consistent performers of last year...Most of us had no clue...we all think Chris Morris is the best thing since sliced bread despite not having any memorable test performances so far. King Tendulkar
55 minutes ago, maniac said: Hmm let us see...,from the day they arrived, end of December to the first test ...let us say 7 days....take out 1 day for New Year’s Eve party and recovery from it...so 6 days. A normal healthy human being needs 8 hours of sleep every day...if they are not getting that than we have a problem but let us say they are getting it so that is 40 hours....add all other personal hygiene stuff, eating, and other personal needs over a period 7 days as 8 hours(conservative estimate due to the water problem) So 48 hours that is 2 more days. so that leaves us with 4 days. now let us take out 2-3 hours of gym each day over 7 days mandatory for any athlete....so give our take another day- So leaves us with 3 days. Now poor team need a stress buster so let us say 1 day is spent in sightseeing,Twitter,Instagram and face book- so 2 days. So you are telling me 48 hours is enough to prepare for South Africa in South Africa That is the effort people put in to score atleast 35% in my exams leave alone excelling in a very difficult challenge. Nice story lol let’s be honest you have no idea how hard or not hard they beeen doing end of day basic skills and fitness is there, they work on that 24/7. Always working on that . They just need time on sa pitches . But sadly bcci screwed that up sandeep 1 Link to comment

LordPrabhzy
Glad im at work tomorrow... will miss the horror show that awaits us. Its a known fact that Indian teams in the last 6-7 years have treated tours to Eng, Aus and SA no more than honeymoons/family trips/ shopping trips with playing an odd test match as time pass. Hence our away results are there for the whole world to laugh at. Thank god we dont play Pak in bilateral tests... all these players would have been taking selfies at the Burj Khalifa or the Dubai Mall rather than practicing. sandeep and Gollum 2 Link to comment

beetle
Since when do families accompany the team on first day on the first difficult tour in a long time? I guess...since the skipper got married. They should have had a preparation camp in the few days that they got. The whole team should have started for SA earlier instead of waiting for kohli's reception . But who would risk giving that a miss considering selection decisions are often made on dostana . PBN
Poor scheduling by BCCI and the team management. Should have at least a couple of warmup matches to prepare for an all important series. Cramping the crappy SL series in between served no purpose. Cricketics, Gollum and velu 1 2 Link to comment
