Captaincy Ratings (Indian captains)

Rohit's captaincy has been fine despite winning only 1 out of 4 matches. His bowling changes and everything were perfect in first match against CSK....but Bumrah probably had his worst match in a long time and we lost it. We were defending something around 140 in 2nd match and we made it till last ball. Rohit's bowling changes, team combinations are usually spot on

Ashwin is turning out to be one hell of a captain.

Against RCB, he exhibited some really attacking captaincy upfront, followed by some defensive captaincy to take the game deep.

Today, he went for an all-out defensive approach to put immense pressure on SRH who never even tried to go for it. I was quite impressed by his field placements today. However, he made a critical mistake of holding himself back too late, which didn't backfire today, but will do one day.

As for his bowling, he tried so hard today it was embarrassing. Maybe he should take a leaf out of his own book and focus on the basics. Leg spin or off spin won't matter if line & length is all wrong. lol. The reason for Mujeeb's success is first due to his line & length (especially the latter) and then due to his variations.

Virat wasted Watson last year in middle order.Dhoni gave him a position he was successful in international cricket as well as IPL. Results are there to see. Play the right players at the right spots.

Ajinkyas captaincy has been poor. Better slip fielders must be there in slip.

Not at all impressed by rahane captaincy

1. the guy changes field on every ball

2. Tripathy is wasted down the order

I thought it was perfect match to promote Rahul as opener as they had dropped Darcy. Rahul would atleast have got a batting position in which he excelled last year. By no means i am saying that he may have succeeded but they could have tried it.

Ajinkyas captaincy is disappointing imo as well. Once you use wrong resources at wrong spots, then you ar enot just fighting the opponents, but fighting with your own blunders as well. Makes things doubly difficult for a captain who has no clue how to get most of each and every resource.

i think williamson missed a trick, he shud have gotten stanlake when raydu n raina were new, it may have failed but shud have tried.....he bought him back when both were set

Dhoni did the smart thing , packed his batting on a slow pitch which made raydu bat in middle and he is the best player to have on such pitches, they cud have easily gone for willey but faf was a better choice for this pitch
