Tibarn Posted July 13, 2018 Posted July 13, 2018 London is lame; it's too cold. LA and Miami are much better to visit. San Diego is underrated. UrmiSinhaRay 1

MechEng Posted July 14, 2018 Posted July 14, 2018 England were pioneers of Industrial Revolution and the modern life we live today is predominantly the product of that civilization. So visiting London gives that feel of being at the place where it all began. G_B_ 1

Global.Baba Posted July 16, 2018 Posted July 16, 2018 When I was a kid In my village, When you had to go potty you would say, "need to go to London" . To this date I spend hours in the bathroom. Love my London. coffee_rules 1

In Kannada, to mock somebody who is acting sophisticated/elite if he boasts of his English, we say "Thamesalli ti*a tolokondu bandidaane" which translates to "He has washed his rear in the Thames river"! So going to London makes sense. Edited July 16, 2018 by coffee_rules

I meant that they wouldn't deliver to the hotel I was staying in. I got in to the hotel from LaGuardia at ~9 PM and no pizza place was willing to deliver or most said they were too far away, not even the usual Pizza Hut/Domino's/Papa John's said this hotel was in their delivery range.
