So ashwin wasn't his senior ?   There is only one guy left. Kohli knows knows his value unlike some armchair experts here. 

 

Dhoni has 6 to 7 oldies to kickout. That's a whole different topic.

Dhoni has 6 to 7 oldies to kickout. That's a whole different topic. 

Ashwin still doesn't have the aura and reputation of dravid, sehwag, ganguly and no Ashwin isn't his senior. Kohli made jis debut in 2008, Ashwin 2011. Ashwin is just older, not Senior. In fact Rohit is the most Senior after dhoni in this team.

The fact is that Dhoni is older now, so one can't expect him to play like he used to. The onus is on the team management to either: change his batting position pushing him up the order or drop him. He cannot play as a lower order batsman anymore.

but then what is the overreaction about... we lost not because dhoni played at slow rate, but because none of the batsman could play till the end in chase of 300+...funny how everyone is expecting us to just roll over this English side in every single match... this was classic England game where they pummelled 300+ score and then chipped away with all batsman due to scoreboard pressure...

Middle order lead by Dhoni has to show some match that they can take the match through to the end as well,if it's all top 3 we are not winning anything anywhere

This was all too predictable from MS,big target ,rrr mounting,dot balls coming one after another,he is becoming worse than Misbah

I ll not blame Raina,he doesn't belong to this level anymore,there are better players available

If I were the captain, I'd drop him immediately for this "Jharkhandi" knock and bring in KKD or Pant as the ODI wicketkeeper. He may be one of the biggest liabilities in the team.

Its almost impossible to chase 320+ with nobody from your top 5 scoring 50+. If you are chasing such huge scores, your top 3 or top 4 has to bat deep, there is no other option

Agreed, Dhoni started slow today and he should be blamed for that, but seems like its still too much is expected of him at number 6. We should be expecting others to becomes leaders in our middle order apart from Dhoni as well and hope they finish games when chasing huge totals and running out of partners like how Dhoni did for so many years.

You are overrating the chase ,you look at that NatWest final game was lost at 150-5 but still the mindset was to win and they did,Dhoni played with a loser mindset 

I am telling if Eng find themselves in similar trouble they will take the game deep with more proactive batting

These situations have been a cause of worry vis a vis MSD,it has come to pass once again today
