Play Pant and Karthik

Get Pant to keep. Right now, Karthik has dropped a chance horrendously. That alone should put paid to any dreams of Karthik being a specialist wicketkeeper.

WK is a specialist role in Tests. Play Pant .... Ind may lose to Eng but giving youngsters (Pant, Kuldeep and Pandya) the opportunity to develop could be the silver lining

That was not a drop. Ball was scooting and dropping well before him. Don't think any keeper in the world could have held on to that.

Why can't they both play and share wkeeping ?? That will also keep them fresh 

They Both are also very unselfish cricketers unlike some other wicketkeeper you know whom

Actually KKD is a better specialist fielder than many of the specialist fielders we have. That is the only reason Pant can be used for keeping. I have no problem with throwing Pant in the deep end. He has a lot of potential as a batsman. Don't want that to be stifled in gruelling test matches where you may have to keep for long periods.

Considering our futile slip fielding if karthik is is a better slip fielder then should stand in the slip cordon, he can take the gloves later..

I still remember his spectacular catch of Graeme smith in the fly slip during 2007 world T20. Yes there is a merit to that option. Kohli/Dhawan very unreliable in slips.

Also I personally think kd is a nice guy n his ego won't hurt if pant takes the gloves ahead of him.

Simply because Karthik isn't safe keeper and Pant is a better keeper. Unlike batting and bowling keeping role can't be shared. Your best keeper should always keep.

So consider pant as that best keeper and let him keep for majority, on long tough day they can share there is no rule as such that you can't share wkeeping unless you have an ego
