So let me get this right Dhawan who has failed in overseas (apart from NZ)  and is week against moving ball will be send out to open but the guy (rahul) who has done well in tough condition n is technically far more superior will be used as floater

If you read his interview cheerleader said regarding Pant that it’s time to groom a wk batsman which should have been done last year itself to have a finisher/wk batsman for next years WC.Regarding Dhawan and Che I see them touring Australia later this year as well since in between we are playing Windies at home expect them to score good amount of runs.

Just because you think he is better would not make him better at least not better than Rahul. Rahul just failed in SA that too because his spot is not guaranteed in any format, example :even though he was best player in series against AU's one of the toughest home series he was dropped against SL and Afg and even in SA . He comes as a changed opner in all the series for pathetic dhwan who doesn't seems to give two hoot abts his position in playin xi and always play recklessly in test matches and then shamelessly smile before walks out of the pitch.

Dhawan just created the record of scoring a century before 1st day lunch in last test against Afg. I know he failed in the warmups...but he deserves the next test atleast. I would drop Pujara rather.

This is one of the reasons Kohli doesnt prefer practice games because ts becomes difficult to justify the selection of his buddies before more deserving players.

Rahul has lot of upside but used parthiv to protect him. He showed no conifdence in SA.

Just because he failed in SA , he has no confidence, other than kohli everyone failed in SA including dhwan . Dhwan overall overseas avg is pathetic he doesn't deserve a place in test team let alone comparison with Rahul.
