  • Cap on captaincy tenure (4-6 years, max 8 years no exceptions) 
  • Best years for cricketers are probably in the 27-32 years range, unless you are a spinner, so a policy to not give too many games to those above 32 and a mandate to try promising options if available. There are always exception who do well even in mid 30s but then that would be a good problem to have

the problem is the whole team is mid to end 30s

  • Rohit and Dhawan, if they continue to do well, would be a good problem to have 
  • Then you have Rayudu and Karthik, who are around 33 or older  

dude.. it was obvious that i was exaggerating.. it only meant to say that we have an old squad..

Ageist. Thats not the solution. Solution is to drop when performance drops.

That is not happening because “legends” don’t retire at the right time which is why we have this thread  .... if everything worked smoothly, we may not even need to discuss right squads as selectors would do automatically the correct thing, and team management would pick the optimized 11 :lol:

i can find a place for Dhoni  i ODIs .. he has way too many overs to change his gears from neutral , reverse to 6th gear ..

but god ( mean himself ) only know why he is still playing iT20s
