Austin 3:!6
First of all its a fact that Dhawan is our 2nd best ODI bat and absolute key player going into world cup. However, just 8 months before the mega event, we hv dropped Dhawan from test team and quite sure his test career is almost over. We hv seen in the past, players who plays only 1 format generally struggles to maintain form like MS Dhoni. Dhawan is batting like a bomb in ODIs but concern is this if drop from tests will affect his ODI batting? Should we hv kept him in the test squad atleast until next year? zen
We have 3 formats. I don’t know why being dropped from one is seen as a negative by some when it allows you to be relatively fresh and focus on the other formats 2nd, why do we have Think that performance in Tests have to be sacrificed to accommodate a player to prep for LOIs? beetle
He is not a daisy. He will manage. He knows he is a gun odi player. This might just motivate him to di better in odis. Edited October 3, 2018 by beetle nevada, Sgattick10, express bowling and 5 others 1 7 Link to comment
Laaloo
No. He was dropped in England. Did it affect him in Odis? No right? beetle, Switchblade, Frustrated and 2 others 1 4 Link to comment
kosingh
If his ODI batting is affected because he is dropped from the test team, then he does not deserve to be in the ODI team either. Sgattick10, beetle, Adi BB and 4 others 1 3 3 Link to comment
wanted_desi
Rahane was doing fine in one format, but then he was selected in ODI team, and rest is history. Adi BB and UrmiSinhaRay 1 1 Link to comment

Cricketics
Its fine, I expect him to do well in world cup where all the limelight will be on Kohli and Rohit like always and he or someone else might ourscore them. I think our opening will do fine with Dhawan and Rohit. Not much concerned there. At this time we shouldn’t be worried or thinking of changing our openers. They will click every 2nd or 3rd game. We need to strengthen our middle and lower order and worry about that for now. Link to comment
