I agree .... Krunal's assets are his ability to keep calm, play as per situation, take quick singles, get big hits in, look forward to taking on challenges, etc. (as I said it reminded me of Bevan) .... if I were his coach, I would ask him to set his aims high (not think of himself as a bits and pieces player) and try to model his approach to the game on likes of Bevan who mastered playing at those kind of positions by executing perfectly

He can never be Bevan.Bevan's game was all about playing percentage cricket and keeping the ball on the ground, getting closer to the target with the occasional boundary-kind of what kohli has perfected.Krunal's batting is based on power hitting. He can't be bevan because he doesnt have the game or technique to play percentage cricket. At best he can be a poor man's raina.

Depends upon situation. If you are in at 50/4, one has to minimize risks esp. in ODIs  .... on the other hand, if you are in for the last few overs, you go for max

Can’t trust Hardik in such situations . Let us see if Krunall has it in him.

He did that in Chennai with dhoni , n he did bat well when wkts were down in CT final before jadeja screwed him

At u also need a partner to stick with u.....in our tail apart from bhuvi i dnt see anyone who can stick much around and bhuvi's place himself is under question

Such situtations comes very few times in career n not everytime ull be able to make full of it

In such situation u need power game to take team to a good total, the game only hardik has ......or top 3 as of now

But pacing, targetting some bowlers will come with experience......this is where test cricket will help pandya immensely

About Krunal, he can but watever i hve seen both of them till Hardik is by far the better talent but Krunal is more street smart ....Krunal himself wud need experience. Dont remeber Krunal playing any knock in such situation for A-teams till now .

Krunal bowling has nothing, no spin, no guile, no drift just plain darting.

He is street smart knows how to deliver 24 balls economically somehow. In the process he gets wickets when someone tries to manufacture shots.

Dont compare with jaddu, he is much superior. His figures are like 50/1 even on flatest of pitches. When it turns a little we know how deadly he becomes in tests.

He is never going to 10 over bowler. It will hurt india if he is bowling defensively in the middle overs.

If his batting is even at stoinis/stokes level then I will play him in place of kedar jadhav at no 6.

Krunal will be a better LOI bowler than Jaddu.  Jaddu is also a darter, the difference is Krunal gets more bounce due to his height and varies his pace and angle more.

Looked mediocre in u-19 WC especially given the kind of talent that was around him.

I am hearing his name a lot these days, has he done something spectacular?

Anukul Roy played a nice cameo against Pakistan in u19 semifinal

And whenever he got the ball in his hands never disappointed, had great control

Got the feeling he can become a specialist bat in coming time with proper bowling skills required for loi and test cricket

Yeah I saw that. With the ball he was alright I mean compared to the fast bowlers, Shaw and Gill, the keeper, Abhishek Sharma and even the opener  who hit a 100 in the final (who looked pretty ordinary till that point) he was not a standout by any means.

very difficult to stand out at that batting position.  He is already making a mark in domestic cricket.  in recently concluded Vijay Hazare trophy, batting at 7 he scored 219 runs at an average of 73 and SR of 118, also taking 15 wickets in 9 games.
