In India it is not racist to call someone black or monkey, I have seen many call their friends like that. We don’t have concept of oppression based on race/color because we are one race.

Go ask a dark skinned Indian how he/she feels when friends jokingly refer to him/her as Kala/Kali or worse when relatives jokes about it too.

Racist or not , it's extremely degrading and dehumanizing to a person and directly affects a guy's self esteem.

Not denying that it’s degrading. If you consider that then people say all kinds words for short people etc. But I have seen people use these words so carelessly. The subcontinent culture vs west culture differs here. Because they had oppression for based on race.

Here the context is entirely different and judging by Sarfu's tone and his use of selective choice of words such as 'abey' , it's clear that it was supposed to be demeaning to the player.

There's a huge difference in an Indian calling another Indian fat because he's obese, or kaala because he's dark skinned.  Still rude, but not racist.  But it IS very racist to call a black person kaala.  How do you not understand the difference?

Simple, when you go to the west you don’t go around asking  for a mug/lota. Toilet paper se kaam chalao.

Similarly have to adjust to their sensibilities when you travel there. You can’t excuse Sarfraz on the basis of he is from Subcontinent, kaala has a different context. Too bad he should have behaved as per their sensibilities. I mean how illiterate should one be to not even realize what happened in South Africa for 100s of years during Apartheid. You don’t need to be a history major for that, everyone knows the basic premise of that problem.

Are you not aware what happened between Warner and DE Kock?  The SA keeper had some nice things to say about Warner's Wife.

The ICC considers racism to be a much bigger deal than just abusing. They have separate codes for both.

Article 2.13 of the regular code covers the use of insulting or obscene and offensive language used by players against another in the regular code of conduct. But it says: "This offence is not intended to cover any use of language that is likely to offend another person on the basis of their race, religion, gender, colour, descent, national or ethnic origin.

"Such conduct is prohibited under the ICC's Anti-Racism Code and must be dealt with according to the procedures set out therein."

In the Anti-Racism code, in place since October 2012, an offence is described as "any conduct (whether through the use of language, gestures or otherwise) which is likely to offend, insult, humiliate, intimidate, threaten, disparage or vilify any reasonable person in the position of a Player, Player Support Personnel, Umpire, Match Referee, Umpire Support Personnel or any other person (including a spectator) on the basis of their race, religion, culture, colour, descent, national or ethnic origin."

He forgot “Cricket is white thing” Comment made to his own Phaast bowler.

No ban needed for disrespecting himself.

Answer to his level would have been” Nahe bacchee vo bagal mein teraa kaalaa baap baithaa hai. Jaakar apani maan se check karaa ke aa”
