Nothing has changed in Indian batting since 2014. Same old Dhoni and Rayudu in middle order. This middle order problem is there since last 4 years.

Guy like Gill needs to be tried , he cannot be worse than Rayudu or Karthik.I really hope he gets to play at no3 and does score 100 so he cannot be kicked out by stupid captain and coach.

I cannot understand Kohli for backing all wrong players.

Dhoni 47 of 72 . IIRC this series was start of Dhoni's decline as a batsman.

Kohli is blocking his own chances of winning a trophy by backing wrong over the hill players. He has done it in the past as well.

Selectors are not helping either.Kohli needs to be forced to use youngsters. They forced Mayank see what happened, this moron is thick skulled, he does not agree to change that easily.

he looked very bad at times in U19 WC.

Could you be specific . Which match  /matches ? As i have watched all the matches ball by ball involving INdia U19 . Never got an impression oh .. he is a bad fielder.

Watched IPL .. again nothing noticable as to term bad.

 which part was bad ?

Not chasing , poor speed , no agility , gathering like Raudu today ...  , dropped catches ?

True.. Even I watched every single match of u19WC involving India. Didn't come across a single instance where Gill let the ball go through him

Kohli's visible lack of support for the youngsters is so blatant. He's got Rayudu back but not picked Gill.

Happened with Mayank as well. Recalled Vijay but did not pick Mayank till they were forced to. Pant obviously is suffering due to DK being preferred.

Don’t forget how he never gave Rahul a long rope at #4 in ODIs but gave chances to Rahane instead.

Nope. The series before that in south Africa. He was swishing his bat against  Steyn , Morkel only for the steep bounce at the wanderers to beat him. I think we were chasing 350+ in that game and top 3 failed.

Sadly, that Mohali innings against Oz in a losing cause was the last classic thala knock of our life time. :((

Problem I think with Indian cricket living in Australia from my perspective is that I think Kohli knows all these young guys could take over the XI sooner rather than later.

I hope someone sets up a new thread India's best U25 v India XI.

I actually think the kids would win the ODIs comfortably.

I think the Indian team does want to keep the kids at bay and this is wrong in terms of setting up a generational progression when Kohli retires. We need kids who have played a part of winning teams.
