They can certainly win now. They got their shocker out of the way. They play their best cricket in England . And they are the only team to have won two ICC tournaments with 2 new ball rule . Mashallah!

I watched bit of eng pak series and before that last saw them in asia cup. Asia cup they looked absolutely washed up. Against england atleast batting looked impressive. Batters did their job by scoring 330+ to defend. Pak bowling is at better average. Cant believe wahab is still in playing XI, its like India fielding Umesh .  Pak isnt winning WC with the likes of waha and imad as two of the bowlers. Same goes for fixer. See of first 2-3 overs and you are good to go.

Don't know about winning the cup as that requires consistent performances to enter the semis but what a cracking performance by Pakistan.  They have proven that on their day, they can beat the best but the opposite is also true.  Pakistan usually lose heavily in their earlier games which helps them fine tune their playing eleven quickly. But reaching the semis is a long way.  After that, it is anybody's game.

India just need to watch out, this Pakistan batting isn't fragile, they are slightly poorer version of England line-up, but if 3-4 guys clicks with quick 50s, then they can easily post 300

True. With their shitty NRR they have backed themselves into a situation where they have to win almost all games. It will be interesting to see how they perform against the remaiing tough opponents before their clash with us. The game might just be a dead rubber from their perspective.

 

Either way, credit where its due. PAK came out with a fresh attitude at the start of the game today after the first thrashing.
