    No One is ready in next level for One day stuff.  On flat pitch they just do not have enough skills to withstand when they are attacked. No one has the control to bowl 2 good yorkers in an over. (That applies to seniors too apart from Bhumra & to some extent BK)

One may bowl may be 3 overs well with new ball but later on he is just a bali ka bakra . 

However we may dislike , only kaul has little bit of skill to bowl with old ball among them . But overall he is also not good enough  .

There was stats in some other thread that Umesh gave more than 60 runs in ODIs 27% or more , the highest of any Indian pacers.

 

My best best is they should play Shardul Thakur to see how he shapes up. Also they should play Ishant in Aus ODIs an pick one of these two for WC.

None.We don't need a 4rth pacer.Its a waste of a spot,better take a batsman or pant instead.One of shami or bhuvi is going to stay on bench most matches anyway.

No, he regressed because he changed his bowling style completely after Asia cup.  He is now trying to become a swing bowler following BK's foot steps forgetting what brought him in the team was his pace and hit the deck hard bowling.  The Khaleel we talked about was bowling 145KPH easily, hurrying the batsmen, bowling yorkers and deceptive slower balls in domestic cricket.

Umesh amongst these jokers but ideally should have been ankit rajput or saini or one of the U19 pacers .these guys should have been tried over khaleel,shardul,kaul and similar trash etc

Hardik pandya. No point carrying a dead weight bowler for the sake of taking one .. I will take pandya and Vijay Shankar both for the tour. I don't not see how any of the above bowlers add value.

Umesh is brainless with white ball. 

Siraj is umesh 2.0 

Chahar can't bowl 130 pies in England.

Maul is garbage.

But the real deserving bowler is Rajput. Or blood in youngsters like Mavi, nagarkoti etc.

Why not pick a rookie pacer like Nagarkoti or Mavi they have experience of playing in WC (Yea under 19, but still a wc) and will be a surprise package due to their pace and aggression, both are very good fielders and can hold bat. Not like they'll get to play all  matches, maybe one or two, but the experience will be massive.

Nagarkoti is undergoing rehab for a back injury, don't know when he will be back. Mavi has a lot of potential but is still a bit raw. Rajpoot is most promising among younger bowlers and should have been tried instead of Siraj.

Sadly Umesh yadav has been a failure in ODI. Siraj too has been pathetic in LOI. He cant even make RCB 11 in IPL in so many matches for RCB in last few years.

 

Saini is a proper fast bowler at this point of time . He is already there in abckup and can be tried.

this is his second season with RCB, you are saying last few years and he played all matches for RCB this season till now.

A total of 11 people people in this forum who think - Sid Kaul (2) , Chahar (2), Shardul (2) , and khaleel (5) , either of them could be the fast bowler.
