Should India play Pakistan in WC now, after the terror attack?

Sad to see so many ICFers getting sucked into a gimmick, action needs to be elsewhere even in the cricket world....not letting go a chance for us to win the WC. First ask yourself why the Hurriyat leaders are still enjoying state security and govt bungalows? Why is MEA going out of its way to issue them medical visas whilst ignoring problems faced by our kith and kin? Always easier to fall into flashy traps rather than concrete action.

Those advocating no cricket are strictly discussing cricket. “No Cricket” is just cricket part only

When two nations are fighting royally like lions like USA and Russia then sports will heal the mental scars and emotional wounds caused to the public.

But no sporting engagements can assuage the backstabbing wounds caused by a cowardly nation like Pakistan which fights through terrorism.

So anyone who thinks cricket can bring the two nations together are delusional.

If we participate in the WC at all, Bakistan will benefit from it financially I think, since the shares of profits to each ICC member nation come from the total from the tournament rather than the India-Bakistan match in particular, IIRC... The best way to hurt them would to refuse to participate at all as long as they are there.

This won't be a popular opinion here. But I would play cricket against Pak in the WC  and other ICC events but not Asia cup or bilaterals. We have several options at settling the matter. Not playing cricket or any sport in a global event is a weak option. I'm all for boycotting PAK in global politics, making sure every country knows what a failed state it is, not showing their matches, boycotting bilaterals, and other business boycotts.

If we boycott them in WC then how can we morally justify if we have to play their team/player in Olympics/Asian Games/CWG or even world cups/championships in other sports? As @Real McCoy said this is a weak option. As long as we avoid each other in bilaterals, IPL and we look to hurt PSL, we are good. Banning broadcast of their matches in India, banning Indian companies from getting involved in their cricket, indirectly forcing sponsors and UAE cricket authorities to choose between either of us.....those things are more sensible options.

We must hurt. Policy should be that. Before someone advocates playing Pakistan, just think, would they have done same if they were in our position

GOI should force IMGReliance to back out of PSL right this moment. Doesn't Ambani always make a big show of his patriotism? If he is a patriot let him suffer a bit financially for the sake of the country, waise bhi this will be pocket change for a tycoon like him.
