only court can, not govt.  BCCI is not a govt association.  BCCI does not need govt permission to play in England.  They can only do so if the tournament was in India.

BCCI does not need government approval. That doesnt mean they wont listen to the government or follow their guidelines

You're seriously overestimating your own ability to understand the powers of Union govt, don't you? If the GoI doesn't issue visas how do you suppose anyone will travel abroad or in India? Where does the Court come into this? If this is a national policy even then BCCI can do nothing at all.

IOC suspended all talks with India because we didnt grant visa to pak shooters. Now lets see what we do. Anyways small win for pak.

What? IOC have only taken out 2 Olympic Quota spots from one event, 25 mtrs pistol, Pakistani were participating in. 14 quota spots for rest of the events are available.

There are huge rumours being circulated by bcci babus that India can be banned if they refuse to play pak in the world cup. This is very obvious bullshit

Meanwhile today the COA has said there is no call taken for the world cup match with Pakistan. I am sure Pakistanis would be laughing at us when after all talks we do nothing. At least the film fraternity had guts to take some actions

yes, i did not say that BCCI need govt approval, but they wont go ahead until govt is backing them and there is no such guideline at this point.

 Please let this happen. I want the BCCI to give the ICC a good old-fashioned GPL.

We haven't needed the ICC in years. It's time to stop subsidizing a colonial era relic.

We can play all cricket bilaterally anyway. The only thing we will lose is the WC, but that can be replaced by a longer IPL or an alternative WC of boards which we either break away from the ICC or which we help develop ourselves. It will just take a little time.

abe ho gaya chalu? If Indian govt doesn't give permission for them to play abroad how do you suppose they will play, GoI can deny any person from moving or travelling abroad. The visa part was about moving to & fro in/out of a county or set of countries, does your pea brain gets stuck on semantics so much?

Yeah all the bravado of bankrupting ICC or making the WC a financial failure sounds great.

However the focus should have been on article 370 etc or taking out terror camps across the border but we are back to discussing  a fake ban on these amazingly talented artists from Pak and discussing if we have to play Pak in a World Cup game.

This topic should be something that should have been a fallout of India’s response not the actual response itself :wall:
