New kit for team India

Team India captain Virat Kohli and MS Dhoni on Friday unveiled the new ODI jersey on the eve of the first match between India and Australia.

Indian women's T20I team captain Harmanpreet Kaur was also present with Kohli and Dhoni at the launch of the new ODI kit along with Ajinkya Rahane, Prithvi Shaw and Jemimah Rodrigues.

 

The men's team players will wear the new jersey for the first time in the upcoming ODI series against Australia.

The team along with the official apparel partner Nike launched the new jersey at a ceremony at the Rajiv Gandhi cricket stadium in Hyderabad.

The jersey also has the dates of India's 1983 World Cup win, the T20 World Cup win in 2007 and the 2011 World Cup win below the back collar.

That thing looks ditto of the previous one, may be a few orange lines added. Thats about it. It really sucks that they could not find a better design. 

 

I might still buy once the World Cup jersey is available without that "OPPO". World Cup jersey won't have "OPPO" on it since ICC tournament doesn't allow sponsors name on the shirt in the middle. 

 

But still overall there is not much change.

To be honest, Nike hasn't done anything phenomenal with kits. New Balance has been doing really good for England and South Africa. Prior to that Australia was having really good kits courtesy Adidas, though their current sponsor Asics is also doing fairly good.

 

There were reports in August that players and BCCI are not happy with Nike due to sub-standard quality of jerseys. I reckon we won't see Nike after this contract which ends in 2020.

Not very impressive.. Doesn't even look two-toned. Could have had some bolder shades

We are always superstitious. We didn't do well during that time. So I don't think BCCI will go for that colour ever. Remember we had a new kit for World T20 2014 or 2012 which was neglected even after launch because BCCI felt that kit would be unlucky.

the girls need slightly less baggy shirts. The boys Kit is slowly improving.  Need less of that gaudi saffron and more of the blue with some class beige saffron or green in there.

and Kohli has bigger biceps and triceps than thalai. Shaw needs to start working out to keep his edge else Rohit Sharma.
