It is possible that more players do this but only a few get caught once in a while.

April 15th: ECB bosses are informed of Hales' failed drugs test and subsequent ban. This is before the WC squad is announced.

April 20th: Hales takes time off for "personal reasons".

April 26th (AM): Hales is still set to meet up with the squad.

April 26th (PM): Story breaks that Hales is serving a drugs ban

April 29th: Hales dropped from all squads.

 

So ECB knew more than 10 days before the media reported on Hales. They took no steps during those 10 days and only chose to ban Hales after the public were aware.

Just a reminder of how sneaky the ECB are. This is why you smack down those sanctimonious English pundits

He has been removed for exactly same reason Archer was not picked .....Player Power !!!

This England team don't like  him and don't  want him any  place near them .
