In India successful players are treated as Demi-Gods...Then you've politicians involved in Board administration. On top you’ve huge money involved in players endorsing or advertising... Finally the selectors themselves are small time ex-players who have inferiority complex... It’s difficult for them to take bold decisions unless backed by the Board itself... PS: Not to forget if the Captain himself is incompetent to lead and depends heavily on the player (whom you expect to retire) to help in captaincy... Real McCoy 1
