If there is bounce and no swing...then Ishant will play ahead of Bhuvi....

This is a perfect pitch for the Indian team. We love bounce especially when there is no lateral movement like today’s pitch.

Today we're overcast conditions. Not much swing. Bhuvi was useless even in practice matches. Shami, Bumrah, Hardik and Kulcha. No bhuvi. If need be to drop one spinner to lengthen batting then either Jadeja/Shankar.

IMO- Indian batsmen struggle to score quickly on bouncy wickets- they just don't have the height/technique for it

Disagree. The top 4 are excellent against the short pitched stuff. Rohit in particular.

And for some reason we have bhuvi and not saini in the squad ,in the form saini was he could have bounced out a good number of batsmen.

Taller bowlers will extract bounce by default. Wish we had Ishant as a backup. He is the only tall bowler we have.

how will he ??? he has not been pitching the new ball up which has been his downfall with new ball in ODI

If he keeps bowling like that he wnt get swing, give pandya the new cherry he ll swing it more

Ever since he started associating himself with knuckle brigade Sandeep sharma,  Sid kaul.  he has become a knuckle bowler too.

I think its more when he decided to add seam bowling to his skill set and increased his pace thats when he shifted his lengths .....

thats where guys like steyn n zak were smart- they use to look to swing the new ball and save themselves to crank up in later overs.

IN the recent ODI series it was embarrassing to see Nathan Lyon smoking Bhuvi over wide midwicket for a six in the last ball of the match. He just floated the ball up.

Coz now he is not able to bowl with high pace consistently due to his back issues , specially he tries for yorker n due to back his misses the mark- it becomes a hit me ball

We might be able to tackle the short stuff however we might have a hard time dishing it out.Might not matter against SENA teams but we will be missing a vital trick against Pak/Bang just like CT final

These pitches are interesting. The Oval was a bit slow and the ball was gripping, TB had extra bounce from short of a length and now a green pitch in Cardiff. Good job by ICC. Better than what ECB has been dishing out for the past 4 years - filthy highways.
