We shouldn't be too critical of England, they are still very strong and most likely finish top2 ,its just that they might have taken this Pakistan match lightly and thought this was just an extension of the recently concluded bilateral series.

They will bounce back strongly with better plans ,have no doubts

But this is a flawed strategy going into the world cup. Team with good bowling always win world cup.s Not just good batting. They rolled out a tough wicket in WI vs Pak match on the same ground.  FOr their match they have rolled out a flat wicket. IT backfired big time.

Butler was crucial, these chases are made possible when players like Butler finish it,once he was dismissed, although he played brilliantly,it was too tough for guys like Ali,Woakes to score at 12 rpo

Just one off .Remember India in 2011 ,batting heavy ,bowling was bang average .So yes batting alone can win you WCs if you are playing at your home conditions ,same with Australia last WC ,they were breaking the morale of the opponents by smashing every bowling line up ,even they had a hiccup in nzl group stage match ,same for India against saf in 2011.

England will come out with better plans now and not take matches lightly

Apart from Buttler and Root..horrible batting,equally crap bowling and as i predicted earlier..all 11 can bat..yeah right..they can core 25 off 25 not 50 off 25.Angrezo..arrogant ..:finger:

Blueprint for other teams

Get Buttler out with slower balls or spin.20 overs or more of spin in the middle.

Bowling was average..r u kidding me.Yuvraj Singh,Zaheer Khan..We won the WC due to slow left arm of Yuvraj. He took wickets in every match.

This is the perfect application of the kahawat "sau sunar ki ek lohar ki"

England won all the useless bilateral against pak but pak banged them at the most important stage lol

In Bilateral series Pak batting was good but bowling was bad . Now Amir and Wahab have given this team bowling strength.

Without Openers' contribution they still managed to lose it by 14 runs. Our finisher operates only when top order batsmen score centuries.

They have Buttler and Root.Roy is a sitting duck against spin. They are highly overrated.Quite difficult to beat..Yes but not invincible.

Congrats to Pak for playing good cricket. Was really good match to watch. Eng even though favorites i doubt they have that clutch players like great aus or wi team had.

They were within a striking distance.

Only when they had butler they had ant chance of winning it. Once he was gone it was just a formality. That's y this is such a flawed strategy just one wicket is the margin which is too marginal to gamble everything on it. In a tournament it's a suicide. This kind of format is built for attrition till semi finals.
