zen Posted July 7, 2019 Posted July 7, 2019 Folks like me usually follow team Ind play tests esp. in SENA, ICC events, and IPL. For the rest of the year, there is nothing much to follow apart from maybe the test series vs. SA (now part of WTC). The T20 WC is next year iirc. Points of interest would be to see how guys like Pandya and Pant are shaping up. If Kuldeep can achieve success in tests. How new players such as Agarwal, Shaw, etc., will do and so Post WC, I guess, it will be time to go back to the chit chat. maniac and AuxiliA 2
Nikola Posted July 7, 2019 Posted July 7, 2019 I am gonna closely watch ashes this time. I am sure it will be good contest but yeah if we talk about indian team then only SA test series is looking like interesting for me right now. Hoping to see new talent in all formats be given chance. someone Posted July 7, 2019 Posted July 7, 2019 You mean to say WC is deeply interesting? this wc has been poor, weak competition and nearly all boring games. Most are just watching for the sake of it being Wc Switchblade 1

The pitches against Eng made for fascinating cricket, fast bowling based. Hope to see Bumrah, Shami, Ishant breathe fire, and will be nice if we have Siraj or Saini as 4th quick in the squad.....Bhuvi can sit this one out.

I think either jaddu or ashwin will have important roles to play with ball (and bat). besides, I am not sure if we will get same pitches vs WI - since we play them so over, the WICB panders to BCCI. I will not be surprised if we see pitches akin to those several years ago, which assisted the likes of ashwin

Zero_Unit Posted July 7, 2019 Posted July 7, 2019 I had too much dose of cricket during the WC anyways. Need a breather so I don't really mind lol. Stan AF 1

Saini should or probably will play WI tests that's how things are building up for him
Nikhil_cric Posted July 8, 2019 Posted July 8, 2019 Im looking forward to the SA tour of India and will be massively disappointed if we don't whitewash SA and bully them into submission. Also, we are only 2 points ahead of NZ in the test rankings. Need to whitewash windies as well to increase that . There's also SL tour of UAE and Pakistan tour of Australia im looking forward to.
Adorable Fan Posted July 8, 2019 Posted July 8, 2019 WI should prepare spicy pitches for the tests. Want to see good test match batting. But it will be big if considering broadcasters interests to drag the number of days to maximum (5 days). Hopefully India will be victorious in SA next time. Even SL have a series victory in SA
