Rahul has been given consistent run in t20.  He played the entire t20 series in Australia in Nov 2018 and failed in all matches.

Why are you talking about this t20 series only? 

 

He is still lucky to have got a place in the test squad just becz shaw is injured.

 

You spoke about his technical flaw and insecurity. These are the aspects which a batsman needs to eliminate by playing ranjis and other domestic matches and then improving confidence.  International matches are not the platform.

He had a bad yr....ok many has. That what u call backing .....we have to allow these youngster to fail 

Eng, AUs, SA are tough tour .....yet he scored a 100 in Eng despite in horrible form 

 

He is ur best talent......didnt yuvraj, rohit, zak took 5-7 yrs

u think technical aspect solve over night

didnt he go back after being dropped from Aus to A games n made runs....he has improved his game a bit but it ll happen slowly. after that he made runs in Aus t20 series, IPL and wc 

 

So he has improved

Played 42 balls against SA and was designated #4 until Dhawan got injured and forced to move up.

What a sad decline for Rahul! At his age, with the number of matches he has played and a 35ish batting average, it seems safe to say that he isn't going to do anything special in the next few years either, with age catching up with him. Also, whether 35 or 45, an average is no good if a player CONSISTENTLY goes AWOL in big games or big moments in a game, like a 4th innings chase. He wasn't like this when he started, he was quite promising. It's time to move on from project KL!

If a player is talented, let's give him 100 games and 6 years of run. Because Rohit Sharma hot that many years and he was able to turn the table. Hence, applying same logic, Rahul is now gonna turn the table and average 60+ in ODIs for next 6 years
