I presume you mean current players. otherwise, ABDV is ahead of kohli and williamson. I would put pujara at 4 or even 3 in past 2 yrs.

over the career, yes, perhaps but not in the past 1-2 yrs. chepu has been as good as always in SC but is now beginning to turn it around overseas as well.

let us wait and see ... as of now  Root has better balanced record than others in the last baring the 'TOP 3'.

Pujara. Since, he helped us to win a test series in Australia.

Root is currently the most overrated player in the world, and also one of the greatest choker ever. His innings in WC final is the real definition of a choker. I am glad that he is not an Indian. Looking at the bashing Kohli is getting, I am sure the whole ICF would have been flooded with Root bashing threads.

an interesting stat: since the 2010s, their avg in wins are: root - 64.1, che - 62.6, taylor - 60.8, warner - 51.2.

in overseas wins, the stats are: che - 56, taylor - 62.4, root - 62, warner - 44.

seems to me that stats-wise, warner is not on the same level as the other 3.
