Normally, Indian diet is more based upon Daals and Roti/Chawal. Then come vegetables which are thoroughly cooked till they loose lot of vitamins and minerals. Spices are good, but their excessive use is perhaps not good. Use of lot of oil. Use of lot of sweets. Since Indian food is tasty, then perhaps a person is over eating on average. Sikhs are from Punjab. I wonder about their Brain size. There must be something which is making Sikhs larger than average India. It may be the water of Punjab. I don't know what to think about it. Sindhis are genetically tagged to Katchis and Punjabis are present in both India and Pakistan. Punjab is also the most vegetarian state in India. What does that say about the brain size of Pakistanis... The richest regions in India are also in the south. Sri Lanka the southern most country is in the south of south asia is also one of the richest alongside the maldives (also in south of south asia)

For example, the 4th generation of Japanese in US are now tall and their eyes have also become wider. It is believed that Japanese/Chinese didn't drink milk from cow or used it as cheese. This was one of the factor that their height was not so much. Even the chinese in China have gained the height while younger generation of Chinese started consuming milk and milk products. I think Punjabi people were not using so much spices as the central or south Indians were using. Or perhaps it is the water in Punjab which makes the difference. Or perhaps it is the use of Saag. Or perhaps they have been consuming lot o Lasi. I don't know what exactly the reason is, but I am sure that diet is playing a role in it.

It’s because Punjab has the most genetic influx into it from outside India and those who came from outside were mostly nomadic pastoralists, who’s diet was richer and more varied than grain fed ancient farming diets. It’s the same reason why Greeks are smaller in size than Scandinavians. As for brain-size, we are one of the foremost, if not the foremost scientific civilization in history and most of our science has come from eastern and southern India sources, with the north and West Indian subcontinent being smaller contributors. So it’s clear how much brain size influenced the outcome.

That's because of no endogamy in US and they are mixing with caucasians in US. Genetics is not based on diet, but dependent on mixing and mutations adapting to different climate conditions. Japanese in Japan with endogamy will look different from Japanese in US

Doctors need to have a baseline of average brain size and regional variations in brain regions before they/we can accurately diagnose if act brain damage has occurred. In India we usually just use baseline measurements from the West. That said the study by this IIT seems very poorly designed, though I didn't read the actual paper itself. There was an article from years ago where some UN health org was trying to vaccinate for polio in Padosi country, but the people refused to be vaccinated. One of the quotes from the article had some woman claim that Hindus laced the vaccines with pigs blood.
