He has played maybe 1 or 2 good T20 innings, otherwise he is in the squad based on his ODI performance. Concur with you about Pant being an opening option and have made that suggestion in the past, tired of repeating that point so yeah now Sundar is my escape. Real McCoy Posted November 5, 2019 Share Posted November 5, 2019 Dhawan's innings yesterday was horrible to watch. He was guarding his wicket like he has 50 overs to play. He is known for his intent to accelerate. None of that was seen yesterday. He was going through the motions. I don't like the idea of having seniors playing in T20Is. Most of the teams around the world have youth play for them. pant, iyer, sundar, are the way to go. We won in 2007 with a young team.
