Kings X1 has never had patience to build a core team. They have a patience of a 4 yr old. Not that Ashwin was great anyways but they never give an extended run to anyone

Was on the cards after he screwed Kings 11 trying to be oversmart and making too many strategic and tactical errors during the knock out games. But not sure if DD will gain anything. Most likely they will let go of Amit Mishra. But Ashwin, being a defensive spinner, is no like for like replacement. Not a wise move by DD.

 

on another note, if only BCCI bosses were as ruthless as IPL bosses and demanded better accountability from superstar captains and coaches!

Good they let boult go nyways he wasnt doing well. The reason they are choosing indian spinners as it can allow them to play 2 overseas high quality seamers and they can play 2 all rounder or lower order hard hitters.  Now they have a lot of spinners they just need to let a few go

Mishra become effective in 2nd half of ipl always

Suchith n tewatia werent match winners 

Jalaj has warmed bench only

Sandeep takes overseas slot

 

Ashwin did well last yr on mohali wkts, delhi wud suit him more.

 

Now they can play ashwin markhande n axar a far better spin attack then they had n all can bat. 

If they pick some good lower order players n 1-2 quality seamers they will look a very strong team.

I think if they pick few powerhitters n quality seamers they can be a very strong team. They have done the 1st thing right making a very strong indian core.

Win ipl m nt sure but they will come close to it and will be a very strong sides for years if they are able to keep their core in next big auction.
