Bhuvi did not look fit. They keep rushing him through injury as if he’s the biggest draw in this LOI team. Basically a youngster was robbed off his chance to play a half fit seamer who is coach and captain’s favorite.
 

Even more depressing to see Shardul Thakur being called in as a replacement. Zero vision, something this TM and selectors have mastered.
 

I hope we do not repeat the same mistake with Bumrah. Let him play a few Ranji matches before NZ tour

Saini is not yet match fit, started playing Ranji but needs to play more FC cricket. 
 

Going back to Shardul Thakur is a travesty. He had a good FC season 3 years back. Can’t keep selecting him because the bowling coach loves him.
 

Could well have looked at Siraj or Rajpoot, who have done well for the A side, but they do not seem to have any godfathers. Even going back to Umesh Yadav would have been better than picking Shardul

We should start looking beyond Bhuvi, he has just had too many fitness issues for 2+ years now.

 

Shardul Thakur selection is a disgrace - was he picked by MSK Prasad selection committee or a new committee? Definitely has to be a decision backed by TM which is just
