India needs to have a plan on what bowling attack and style it wants to do in odis. In tests, we have such a clean vision. I dont know why in odi we have such an out and out negative mindset. Also our bowler's batting skill does not give any confidence.

They cannot decide, it is not easy to play to 5 bowlers like Chahal,Kuldeep and Bumrah who are so useless with bat.This team needs bowlers who can bat,I would say guy like Mavi but is he ready?

 

Dubey or Pandya  are not allrounders, they are bits and pieces players but they are needed for this team in shorter formats.

Sadly, jadeja's bowling has regressed a lot. He is still good as a fifth bowler, and max bat at 7, not the best though.

I don't think he regressed, Jadeja is/was always a bowler who needs help from pitch.People want Kulcha to play togther along with Bumrah but that makes team's batting zero after no 4 given state of mind of Pant.

Now if ur captain doesnt knw how to use 6th bowler not much to say....u dnt take ur 6th bowling option as 5th in match coz opp will taregt u. The day maxwell is also played as 5th bowler teams will pounce on him

the same reason we wont play bhajji as pure bastman coz he had 2-100s at test level

He is a specialist hitter .....if guys like umesh do it once in a while u dnt bat them up.

dude, I was poking holes at his reasoning. I don't mean to say we should include Yadav as a batsman.. 

Every player should have a clearly defined role and Dube doesn't seem to have one - TM seems confused on whether he is a batsman or a bowler

No. He's not a wicket-taker in LOIs and his batting in death overs is useless most of the time. It's the reason why we even went to Kuldeep and Chahal in the first place after Champions Trophy 2017.

Then it is a sad state of affairs if we don’t have a better batsmen in domestics who can roll his arm over

 only few batsman in domestic who can roll arm over - 

 

Vihari- not good enough to bat at 6,7....infact was impact less in deodhar

jadhav- already in team with no future

Hooda- gone down at domestic level

Abhishek sharma- too young

Sundar- in contention, but his state side doesnt trust his bowling much as format becomes longer

Rana- has been very inconsistent and has his share of problems against short bowling

Raina- done n dusted 

Shankar- Good for 4,5 position not below then that , his bowling is not far from dube

Nair- not even on A-team radar, hasnt set limited over in domestic or IPL on fire 

 

 

But most of them will have same result if u use them as one of the main bowlers . It was foolish captaincy to play dube n sundar as 5th bowler . Play most of them apart from sundar as 6th bowler or they ll have same fate 8 out of 10 times specially against these kind of batsman

Obviously tm bowling him in slog overs was madness

 

Its just 125 hit me balls from him on a deck which was not that flat either

And a peak raina was streets ahead of dube as a batsman who can bowl 

 

Ditto kedar jadhav. When he came onto the scene he was a better 6th bowler

 

Dube has a choice to make. Focus on batting and be an ace. Or focus on being a better bowler even if it means lower returns with the bat.
